The 2010 Neston Music Festival will take place on Saturday and Sunday the 4th and 5th of September. This annual festival started in 2000 with a small-scale concert to raise money for the restoration of St Thomas' Church, Parkgate. From then it has has become progressively more ambitious, and has raised over £9,000 for Claire House Children's Hospice and the Wirral Churches' Ark Project. In a similar format to last year there will be an orchestral concert on the Saturday evening and a concert by Bactiguard Wire Brass on the Sunday.
Proceeds will go to the charities mentioned above.

This year's orchestral programme will include Borodin's Overture to Prince Igor, Rachmaninov's Second Piano Concerto and Sibelius' Second Symphony. The concert will be conducted by Eric Jennings; the soloist will be announced shortly.
